What has been the journey of your company and its mission?
CTM Technical Textiles Ltd has a proud legacy spanning 54 years, built on a foundation of innovation, quality, and a commitment to excellence. Over the decades, we have evolved from a traditional textile company into a pioneering force in the field of technical textiles, catering to diverse industries with specialized solutions.

Our journey took a transformative turn when we ventured into the domain of Agriculture Technical Textiles and Geosynthetics, identifying the need for advanced materials that could solve real-world challenges. Recognizing the increasing demand for durable, eco-friendly, and high-performance solutions in infrastructure, we became one of the early adopters of geosynthetics in India.
For the past 12 years, we have been a leading manufacturer of PET Geogrids, a critical product used in infrastructure projects such as road reinforcement, railways, and retaining walls. Our geogrids are NHAI recommended, MoRTH specified and BIS certified.

What sets your company apart in the industry?

Can you share recent innovations or technologies you’ve introduced?
In line with the global shift toward advanced materials and sustainable solutions, we are proud to introduce a 4th generation Polypropylene Geogrid line. This state-of-the-art manufacturing capability, with a 6-meter width, is among the first of its kind in South and Southeast Asia, positioning us as a regional leader in geosynthetics innovation.

With governments emphasizing sustainable growth and advanced infra-structure, our pavement optimization grids are designed to meet the highest quality standards while enhancing efficiency and durability. We have a budget lined up of over half a million USD to put our grids through an extensive and lengthy testing and certification process which will position CTM as a caterer for countries and clients across the globe. These solutions not only support sustainable construction practices but also help our clients achieve cost optimization and long-term performance in their projects.

What are the biggest challenges facing your industry, and how are you addressing them?
One of the biggest challenges in our industry is the tendency of some clients to opt for slightly cheaper products despite a marginal quality difference. Geosynthetics, unlike many other construction inputs, play a highly technical and critical role in infrastructure projects. These products are specified only after an extensive R&D process, ensuring they meet stringent perfor-mance requirements.

When substandard materials are used, the consequences can be severe. Not only does it risk the success of the project, but it can also tarnish the reputation of advanced materials as a whole, leading to poor adoption of innovative solutions.

At CTM, we emphasize educating clients and concessionaires on the importance of quality and its long-term impact. We actively engage with stakeholders to demonstrate how superior products ensure durability, safety, and cost-efficiency over the lifecycle of a project.

By advocating for the right materials and practices, we aim to set higher bench-marks for the industry and promote the responsible adoption of geosynthetics.

How do you see your company shaping the industry in the next 5 years?
We are extremely bullish about the future and our role in shaping the industry. With strong business ties and an order book exceeding six months, we see significant untapped potential for growth. Over the next five years, we aim to achieve a CAGR of over 20%, driven primarily by our geosynthetics and new material-based developments (NMBD).

Our focus will be on offering technical service-based solutions tailored to meet client-specific demands. By combining innovation, quality, and customer-centricity, we are poised to lead the industry toward more sustainable, efficient, and advanced infrastructure solutions.
