Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) Blocks are widely used building material and are consi-dered a suitable environment-friendly product for many construction projects.

Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) Blocks are manufactured using fly ash mixed with cement, lime, water, & an aeration agent placed in an auto-claved chamber. AAC blocks consumes fewer raw materials, providing multiple benefits as follows:

Lightweight : AAC blocks are significantly lighter than traditional red clay bricks & concrete blocks making them easier to handle and transport. The use of light weight AAC blocks helps in reducing the dead load of a structure, leading to optimizing the volume of materials used for the structure.

Thermal insulation : AAC blocks have a lower thermal conductivity, making them an effective insulation material. This can help to reduce energy costs associated with heating and cooling a building.

Fire resistance : AAC blocks have a higher fire resistance than traditional red bricks.

Durability: AAC blocks are resistant to weathering and decay leading towards long service life.

Sound insulation : AAC blocks have good sound insulation properties, which can help to reduce noise transmission between rooms or between the interior and exterior of a building.

Cost-effective : AAC blocks have lower labour cost than other similar building materials. By using AAC Blocks, therefore lower number of joints, leading to less use of joining mortar. less plastering and no more longer curing time which helps in faster construction.

AAC Blocks are highly versatile building materials that can be used in various types of construction projects such as :

Residential construction : AAC blocks are commonly used in the construction of multi-story buildings, houses.

Commercial construction : AAC blocks are also used in the construction of commercial and industrial buildings, such as office buildings, warehouses, and factories.

Infrastructure projects : AAC blocks are increasingly used for infrastructure projects for applications such as underground as well as elevated station buildings of metro rail projects, admini-strative buildings and other ancillary structures for ports, airports, highways, etc.

In the world of construction materials, the Godrej TUFF brand is trusted and offers a breakthrough range of customised and environmentally conscious products.

Godrej TUFF walling and paving solutions span a range of products, from Aerated Autoclaved Concrete Blocks to the environment-friendly range of Godrej TUFF Recycled Concrete Blocks & Pavers.
Godrej TUFF AAC blocks complying with IS 2185 part III.

Godrej TUFF Easyfix block binding mortar is a thin-joint, high-strength adhesive for quick and firm construction of walls using AAC blocks. TUFF Easyfix block binding mortar is compliant to IS ASTMC 16660-09.

Tuff Duroplast is a convenient easy-to-use plaster which is stronger than traditional plastering with better binding properties and improves overall aesthetics. Godrej Tuff Duroplast is compliant to IS 1661-1992, IS 2250-1965 & IS-2402-1963.

By implementing circular economy principles of “Recover, Recycle and Rebuild” in our Construction Materials line of business. We have recycled over 30,000 metric tonnes of concrete debris. The recycled concrete materials from this plant are also used for constructing customised prefabricated concrete products such as box culverts, ducts, and drain covers, which are being used for major infrastructure projects in mumbai.

Godrej Construction has received the ‘Green Pro’ certificate from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for their RMC products, such as Enviro TUFF, Xtra TUFF, Easy TUFF, and other construction materials such as TUFF Blocks AAC, recycled concrete blocks, and pavers, making them beneficial for use in green buildings.

Addressing the growing need for improving productivity and sustainability within the real estate and infrastructure sectors., Godrej Construction partnered with Tvasta, an indigenous start-up founded by IIT-Madras alumni, to develop a bus shelter and security pavilion using 3D printing Technology. Going forward, Godrej Construction and Tvasta aims to pioneer 3DCP technology to develop sustainable housing solutions, disaster relief structures, national defence-related applications, and other public amenities in India & globally.
