Hyundai Showcases New Generation of Application- specific Machines at bauma CONEXPO India
HX33A, R145L and HL655A take centre stage as Hyundai combines product walkarounds, customer engagements and key handovers at the exhibition
HD Construction Equipment India showcased its latest generation of application-specific construction equipment at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, held from 15 to 18 September.
The Hyundai stall was inaugurated on 15 September 2026 by Mr. Seong Woo Shim, Managing Director, HD Construction Equipment India, and Mr. Joydeep Baksi, AVP, along with other Hyundai delegates. The inauguration marked the start of Hyundai’s showcase of new machines, customer engagements and technology solutions at the four-day event.
The company combined the product showcase with walkarounds, customer interactions and key machine handovers, giving visitors a closer look at the machines and how their features are designed to address specific operating requirements across sectors including agriculture, mining, quarrying, coal and ports.
Three new machines take centre stage The HX33A mini excavator, R145L excavator and HL655A wheel loader were among the key products showcased by Hyundai at the exhibition.
The HX33A was presented as a compact solution for agriculture and land-deve-lopment applications. As mechanisation increases across these sectors, the machine is aimed at applications where compact dimensions, manoeuvrability and precision can help improve productivity and reduce manual effort.
For demanding quarry and mining operations, Hyundai showcased the R145L. Designed for applications involving long operating hours and demanding conditions, the machine focuses on durability, reliability and uptime.
The HL655A, Hyundai’s new global offering in the 5.5-tonne class, was another major highlight. Powered by a fuel-efficient BSV electronic engine and equipped with a 5.5 m³ coal bucket, the wheel loader is designed for high-volume material handling, particularly in coal and port applications. Its large bucket enables more material to be moved per cycle, supporting produc-tivity in high-volume operations.
Customer handovers highlight growing partnerships Customer deliveries added another important element to Hyundai’s presence at bauma CONEXPO INDIA, with key handover ceremonies held for customers during the exhibition.
The handovers marked the addition of Hyundai machines to customer fleets across different applications. Hyundai also welcomed members of the Tamil Nadu Association of Machinery and Construction Equipment Owners (TAMCEO) to its stand during the exhibition.
TAMCEO, which has grown to a community of more than 1,000 members, expressed its commitment to 10+ Hyundai R210E excavators over the coming months, further strengthening the relationship between Hyundai and the equipment-owning community in Tamil Nadu.
Preparing for Hyundai’s next phase in India The bauma CONEXPO INDIA showcase comes as Hyundai approaches its 20th year in India, with the company building on its established market presence while preparing for the next phase of product and technology development.
Hyundai is evaluating opportunities to strengthen R&D and product development in India, expand its product portfolio and further develop its customer support capabilities. The company is also assessing the potential for electric construction equipment in India. Its global portfolio includes electric mini-excavator models in the 1.7-tonne, 6-tonne and 7-tonne classes, while Hyundai continues to study Indian market requirements and applications for potential future introduction. India is also becoming an increasingly important export base for Hyundai, with machines manufactured in the country supplied to markets across the SAARC region, the Middle East, Africa and other parts of Asia. As Hyundai moves towards its 20th year in India, the company is focused on expanding its application-specific product portfolio, strengthening customer support and using technology to improve uptime and operating efficiency across India’s diverse construction and material-handling applications.
