Extending the wings
Infra Engineers India Pvt Ltd (IEPL) has established itself as a trusted player in the used construction and mining equipment sector for nearly a decade. Renowned for its innovation and client-focused approach, IEPL delivers customized solutions that boost operational efficiency and address complex industry needs. IEPL focuses on staying ahead of trends, anticipating customer requirements, and developing specialized equipment for challenging conditions.
IEPL stands at the brink of an ambitious chapter with the near completion of its state-of-the-art 12-acre works facility in Gummidipoondi. This expansive facility boasts 150,000 square feet of covered shed, along with a dedicated 30,000 square feet Training Academy formed to cultivate a sound work force.
IEPL’s pioneering innovations include the i-Prid slope vibratory compactor (SVB), revolutionizing slope compaction; the high-neck/high-bed excavator, ideal for dredging and desilting; and the dual electric diesel hybrid excavator, designed to reduce operating costs, enhance sustai-nability, and support green initiatives through advanced EV technology.
IEPL’s innovative kick-off milestone is the SVB, a revolutionary excavator attachment that has redefined slope compaction, transforming it from a labour-intensive and inefficient process into an efficient solution. Engineered for exceptional performance, SVB is ideally suited for critical infrastructure projects across various sectors, including irrigation, railways, airports, and highways. This cutting-edge innovation establishes a new benchmark in slope compaction, enabling faster, safer, and more cost-effective project execution.
Following the success of the SVB, IEPL has introduced the High Neck, also known as the High Bed and Goose Neck, offering unique functionalities that have been met with widespread acceptance and increasing demand across the industry. This innovative product is carefully designed with attention to specific operational challenges, enabling IEPL to deliver solutions that enhance the capabilities of traditional equipment.
The High Neck excavator is designed to operate seamlessly in challenging terrains, particularly in environments with high water levels that would otherwise exceed the cabin height of a standard excavator. This capability makes the High Neck especially valuable in coastal areas. Recognizing the demand for versatility, IEPL introduced an advanced version of the High Neck model with a standard height of 1 meter to 5 meters as needed. This advancement not only demonstrates IEPL’s commitment to innovation but also marks a significant breakthrough in excavator design, enabling efficient operation in situations where conven-tional machinery would be inoperable.
Tailored for applications such as dredging, desilting, canal deepening, swamp land clearing, and trench excavation, the High Neck customization has become an essential asset for projects that require reliable performance in challenging landscapes. Its design minimizes operational downtime while maximizing effectiveness, making it a preferred choice for the construction and mining industries, which demand versatility and high performance.
IEPL’s creation has successfully spread its reach across various international markets, including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea. In each of these regions, IEPL’s equipment continues to demon-strate its reliability and adaptability, solidifying the company’s reputation for quality and engineering excellence.
The Dual Electric & Diesel Hybrid Excavator offers two power options -Diesel Mode and Electric Mode. The Diesel Mode is Ideal for areas without electricity or where mobility is needed & The Electric Mode is perfect for locations with available power.
The excavator works on both an Electric Motor and a Diesel Engine which can be switched between Electric or Diesel power at the push of a button from the cabin, offering flexibility based on site needs.
Users can achieve significantly lower operating costs whilst running in Electric Mode, as electricity costs only 25% of what diesel does. For a 20-ton excavator:
- Diesel usage: Consumes 12-15 litres per hour, costing around INR 1,500 per hour.
- Electricity: Costs just INR 375-400 per hour.
- Over 400 hours of operation in a month:
- Diesel cost: INR 6,00,000
- Electricity cost: INR 1,50,000
This results in monthly savings of INR 4,50,000 to INR 5,00,000, along with reduced maintenance, as there’s no need for engine oil changes or filter replacements.
Investment: For diesel operation, there is a need for daily investment in fuel, whereas in electric mode, electricity costs are incurred only on a monthly basis.
Diesel excavators remain popular for heavy-duty tasks and remote projects, while electric excavators are quickly becoming a preferred option for urban and regulated areas with lower operating costs & zero emissions. IEPL has established a dual option enabling to have double advantage in one machine. In the long run, this innovative product is anticipated to meet high market demand and deliver substantial benefits.
As the industry evolves, IEPL is poised to set the standard by delivering high quality refurbished and customized equipment and special attachments that meet and exceed the expectations of its global clientele.
