Over the last four decades, Omega Elevators has consistently embraced cutting-edge technologies, evolving into a world-class player in the vertical transportation sector. We started our journey with elevator manufacturing and now have escalators, PSD and travelators. Our mobility products combine advanced safety features with advanced technology designs, enabling them to perform reliably in diverse and challenging environments while setting new industry benchmarks.

Omega’s legacy of innovation began early we introduced AC variable frequency drives in 1992 and seven-segment floor displays as far back as 1987. Today, we continue to push boundaries with connectivity, remote monitoring, and intelligent systems.

Spanning over 450,000 square feet, our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad reflects our unwavering commitment to the ‘Make in India’ spirit since 1984-85. MRL (Machine Room-Less) Systems: Our Machine Room-Less technology, combined with regenerative drives and destination dispatch systems, significantly enhances operational efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and minimises passenger wait times.
THE NEED FOR SPEED Speed Innovation: In 2018, Omega installed India’s fastest elevator at the prestigious Lodha Complex in Mumbai, achieving a speed of 5 m/s. Backed by proprietary technology, we can reach speeds of above 6.5 m/s .
Safety and Eco-friendly Innovations
Green Energy Adoption: As early adopters of sustainable practices, we installed a 100 kW rooftop solar power plant at our facility in the early 2000s. This commitment to green energy continues to power our operations responsibly.

Self Disinfecting Elevator Cabins
During the 2020-21 COVID-19 pandemic, our team developed an automatic UV disinfection system that sanitises the elevator cabin immediately after every use. We also introduced touchless call buttons to minimise physical contact.
Foot Switch Operation
We have a special feature, which allows our elevators to be operated by a foot switch not requiring the use of hands at all.
ERD – Emergency Rescue Device: Going beyond the standard Automatic Rescue Device (ARD), our proprietary Emergency Rescue Device (ERD) ensures passenger safety during power failures or battery issues. A single button press brings the elevator to the nearest floor and opens the doors for safe evacuation.
Software Innovation and Development: Pioneered in 2014, Omega Smart Elevators connect our systems to the IoT cloud, enabling real-time monitoring, predictive fault detection, and performance analytics. Widely installed in airports and railway stations, this intelligent solution minimises downtime and maximises reliability.
Wi-Fi Connectivity Inside Elevators: Omega developed technology that ensures an uninterrupted Wi-Fi signal in elevator cabins, allowing passengers to stay connected and call for help during emergencies.
Destination Control Systems (DCS): Our Destination Control System optimises traffic flow in high-rise buildings with multiple elevators, reducing wait times and improving overall building efficiency.
AI and Machine Learning Integration: Our R&D team is actively developing AI-powered solutions to personalise the elevator experience. For instance, the system can learn daily routines and automatically prepare the elevator for regular users such as school-going children and their caregivers.
